Play Off Game

OK I have been slacking lately. Here is what is coming up for this week. First we will be practicing all this week from 5-7:30 as usual . Saturday we have a game it is against P.G. at 4:00p.m. @ P.G. high school. Hope to see everyone there to cheer on the boys.

Spartans vs. Springville

Oh man what a tough game......The boys did really well in not giving up. They played until the bitter end. We lost our first game. 40-15. That was rough. Springville had our number and did they use it. We will bounce back from this game and on to our next with Orem. That game will be at Orem High School and will be @5:00p.m.

Spartans vs. Timpview

What a game!!!!! This was the toughest one of them all. It was such an exciting game to watch, and I'm sure for the boys the most exciting that they have played. We won 20-15. A little to close for our liking but we still did it. We have another tough game with Springville and the boys are working hard at practice for this one. The game is Thursday Oct 2. @ 7:00 hope to see you all there.

Spartans vs. Payson

OK I have fallen behind. We had a game last saturday against the Payson Lions. It was a great game we won 37-0. This has been such a great season for the boys. It has been fun to watch them play. Our next game is Saturday at 7:00 p.m. @ Timpview. See you all there.

Spartans vs. Salem Hills

Thursday night we played Salem. We won the game 33-6. It was a really great game. The boys all played well. The last minute of the game we had an injury. Gabe Olsen broke his leg. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital, and on Friday he had surgery. They put a rod that goes from his knee to his ankle to stabilize the brake. He will be in the hospital until Sunday. Hope he heals quickly we are looking forward to seeing him with the rest of the team soon. Our next game will be Saturday September 20 @ Payson.

Spartans vs. Lone Peak

Thursday night we played the team from Lone Peak. What a fun game!! The boys played really well and had a great time. We won 36-7. Two in a row. We had a casualty. Colton Willey fractured his foot in 2 places. Hope to see him back on the field in a few weeks. Sorry no pictures this week. My camera was packed for the move. Our next game is Thursday September 11 @ 7:00. We will be playing Salem Hills.
Practice will be Mon,Tues,Wed from 5:30-8:00.

Our practice times have changed. We will be starting practice at 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. It will still be at inlet park.

Saratoga Springs Spartans vs. Lehi Pioneers

What a game!!!! Spartans vs. Pioneers. Spartans won... 22-6 was the final score. I think a real rivalry has begun. All the boys were really excited to play this game. All the boys played really well an played their hearts out. It was so much fun to finally get to watch them play. Next game will be Thursday Night 7:30 at Lone Peak. Let everyone know!!! It was so great to have such a large crowd out to cheer the boys on. We would love to have that at every game.

Game against Lehi

Our First Scrimmage Games

WOW!!! It was so much fun to watch our boys and their first scrimmage games. The played four 40 minute games. They did GREAT!!!! It is going to be so much fun watching them play in the real games. They are going to do really great this season.

Our first game..... Wednesday August 27, 2008 @7:00 we will be playing at Lehi High.

The boys need to be at the school at 6:00.

Saturday scrimmage meeting time has changed. The boys need to be there at 8:30 a.m. Meet at the Timpview Baseball fields. They are south of the Stadium.

We are putting the boys names on their white jerseys. The cost of this will be $7.00. The money needs to be turned into coach Brian by Friday. If you have any questions you can contact Brian at 472-3737.

Team Reminders

OK we have a lot of information for you, so here goes:

1. Physicals must be completed with a form signed by a doctor and turned in to the Coach by next Wednesday, August 20th. Those who have not had a physical can not play in a game until it is completed. Crossroads Family Medicine will do it for $10.00 per player. They are located at the crossroads right behind Smith's and are open 9-5 Monday-Friday and 9-12 on Saturdays. Their phone number is 801-766-2121.

2. Timpview Controlled Scrimmage- Saturday August 23 @ 9:00 a.m. The boys need to be there at 8:00a.m. We will be playing on the Timpview High School Football Field. Come ready to play.

3. With school starting our practices will be changing. We will practice Monday-Friday from 6:00-8:30p.m. If your son can not attend practice, a call MUST be made to Coach Parker or it will be considered unexcused.

4. Our first game will be Wednesday August 27 @ 7:00p.m. against Lehi!!! We need all the boys at practice because we still have a lot to go over before the first game.

A quick note we would like to thank all the Coaches for all the time and effort they put into coaching our boys. They take a lot of time out of their work and personal schedule to coach them. Thanks again Coaches: Steve, Brian, Troy, Kelly, Mark, Jeff and Brett!!!

Two-A-Days

Two-A-Days will begin Monday August 11-Friday August 15. The time are as follows:

Morning Practice 7:00-9:30

Evening Practice 6:00-8:30

Please remember you helmets and plenty of water.
